TONY CALDERON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Fort Collins, Colo., has been named the SCAC Men’s Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19.

Calderon ran at the Lewis and Clark Invitational in Estacada, Oregon on Saturday where he led the Tigers to a second-place team finish. In a field of 12 schools and 119 runners, the senior posted a 24:56 finish for the 8K - good for second place among all individuals. This marked the second time this season Calderon has ran an 8K under 25 minutes.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore RJ Navarro of Austin College won his fourth straight individual title at the Bill Libby Invitational hosted by McMurry, breaking his own school record in the 8K by nearly 20 seconds and coming in with a time of 26.34.8 to help the 'Roos finish second overall at the meet. Freshman Thomas Lagarde of Dallas ran in his first collegiate 8K at the Bill Libby Invitational on Saturday to a time of 28:28.9. He led all the Crusaders with a 24th individual finish out of 98 runners. Freshman Alonzo Corral of St. Thomas was the first Celt across the finish line at the Santa Clara Open Invitational on Saturday. He finished 63rd out of more than 200 runners in a time of 26:13.4. Junior Harry Bellow of Trinity was the top Tiger runner at Texas A&M's Arturo Barrios Invitational on Saturday, finishing the 8K race in 25:23.4 to place 87th among all Division I competition. His new personal-best time moves him to third all-time at Trinity, falling one second shy of the #2 time in school history.
