LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Seven men's cross country teams wrapped up regular season competition - highlighted by Austin College pacing four SCAC squads with a second place finish at the McMurry University Bill Libby Invitational.

RJ Navarro had his fourth straight first place finish and the Austin College men's cross country team took second place overall at the Bill Libby Invitational.

Navarro broke his own program record in the 8K, which he set just last week, by nearly 20 seconds with a time of 26:34.8 to claim first place in the meet, and Johnny Biffar placed sixth with a time of 27:08.7, which was a new personal best.

Trinity, which sent a split squad to the meet, came in fifth in the 13-team field. The Tigers had four men's runners who set new personal records in the meet, led by Jackson Meyer's 17th-place finish in a time of 28:15.9.

The Dallas men finished ninth with a score of 247 as Thomas Lagarde paced the Crusaders with a 24th-place finish coming in with a time of 28:28.9. Schreiner had five runners post a season-best time while six runners had personal records as the Mountaineers finished 11th. Marco Hernandez led the way for Schreiner with a 40th place finish in 29:31.9.

Trinity also sent a squad to the Texas A&M Invitational where the Tigers, the lone Division III representative in the meet, placed 24th. Four Tiger men broke personal records in the meet, led by Harry Bellow's time of 25:23.4 that placed him 87th individually. That time ranks him third in Trinity's record book, just over a second out of second place.

Paced by the second consecutive sub 25-minute race by Tony Calderon, the Colorado College men finished second at the Lewis & Clark Invitational. Calderon finished second among 125 runners with an 8K time of 24:56.3, just shy of his personal-best of 24:49.6, which he set two weeks ago at the Division III Pre-National Meet.

St. Thomas turned in one of its strongest performances of the year, taking eighth place at the Santa Clara University Bronco Invitational. Alonzo Corral was the first Celt across the finish line, completing the 8K course in a time of 26:13.4 for 63rd place.

Texas Lutheran sent runners to the UC-Riverside Highlander Invitational. Koby Green led the way for the Bulldogs, posting a 30:22.18 finish over the 8K course.

All teams are off next weekend in preparation for the 2019 SCAC Cross Country Championship, which will be held Saturday, November 2 and hosted by Colorado College. Click here for the official website of this year's championship.
