JORDAN PITTS AND CAMERON KRIMBILL OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, February 17 through Sunday, February 23.
Pitts, a senior from Austin, Texas, and Krimbill, a junior from Scottsdale, Ariz., went undefeated at No. 1 doubles to lead the 13th-ranked Tiger men’s tennis team to a 3-0 record, which included wins over No. 39 Cal Lutheran and No. 16 Pomona-Pitzer. Pitts and Krimbill put Trinity up 2-0 against Cal Lutheran and Concordia, helping the Tigers to a pair of 9-0 shutouts on Saturday. Against Pomona on Sunday, the Tiger duo was the first doubles team off the court to help Trinity to a 2-1 record heading into singles play. This season, Krimbill is 8-4 in doubles play and Pitts improved to 5-7 in doubles. The two Tigers are also now 4-4 as a team in doubles, having won four consecutive matchups together.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Carson Kirk and freshman Major Ueckert of Schreiner teamed up together to earn an 8-5 victory at the No. 2 doubles line last Saturday to help guide the Mountaineers to a victory over Mary Hardin-Baylor. Kirk and Ueckert are now 3-0 on the season at No. 2 doubles.
