Hunter Bajoit OF Southwestern University, a freshman from The Woodlands, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, February 18 through Sunday, February 24.
Bajoit did not drop a set last week, going 3-0 as the Pirates downed Concordia (Tex.), Schreiner and Sul Ross State. The first-year defeated Hoanh Lee of Concordia 6-3, 6-2 and outlasted Joshua Newman of Schreiner, earning the 6-3,6-3 decision the following day. Against Sul Ross State, Bajoit moved into the No. 1 position and defeated Manuel Barera 6-2, 6-2.
Other Outstanding Performances:
Sophomore Wilson Hamilton led 17th-ranked Trinity to a 9-0 shutout win over East Texas Baptist, winning 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles match.
