CHADD BROWN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior kicker from Pinehurst, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, October 29th.
Brown converted two field goals of 46 and 26 yards in the Bulldogs' 28-27 road loss to Trinity.
Brown's 46-yarder was his longest kick of the season to date and is only one yard short of his career long.
Brown also made all 3 of his extra-point attempts and served as the team's punter, with 3 punts for an average of 35.7 yards.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year kicker Luke Fierst of Southwestern University connected on all 5 extra-point attempts in Southwestern's 35-0 win on Saturday. The first-year placekicker also kicked off 6 times, averaging 60.5 yards per kick and booting 4 for touchbacks in the process. Senior defensive back Adam Saunders of Trinity University led the Tiger football team to a come-from-behind 28-27 victory over Texas Lutheran University on Saturday afternoon. Saunders returned 5 kickoffs for 125 yards during the game, including a long return of 34 yards.
