TRE JONES OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, sophomore running back from Red Oak, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, September 3rd.
Jones had an outstanding game on kickoff returns against Hendrix, with 4 returns for 133 yards, averaging 33.3 yards per return with a long of 56 yards.
Jones also carried the ball 10 times for 43 yards and a touchdown against Hendrix.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior wide receiver Christian Aleman of Trinity University punted nine times for a total of 317 yards in the game, averaging just over 35 yards per kick. Junior wide receiver Logan Thompson of Texas Lutheran University punted four times for 183 yards, an average of 45.8 yards per punt.
