Zach Galindo, Texas Lutheran University, Offensive Player of the Week (Week 4)

ZACH GALINDO OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior quarterback from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, September 24th.

Galindo threw a career-high 5 touchdown passes for a career-best 265 yards in the road loss to No. 12 Hardin-Simmons.

Galindo completed 22 of his 31 attempts and had a career-high 83-yard TD pass to tight end Tri-Rice Van Buren.

Galindo set his career-bests in touchdowns and passing yards without turning the ball over once against the Cowboys.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:

Junior wide receiver Brennan Ellis of Austin College had a career-best 147 receiving yards on 4 catches for the 'Roos, with a long reception of 53 yards against SAGU on Saturday night. Senior wide receiver Matt Gillen of Southwestern University caught a career-high 14 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown in Southwestern's 42-22 loss at Wisconsin-River Falls on Saturday. Gillen's 153 receving yards are the most by any player in the league this season. Junior running back Evan McDowell of Trinity University posted his second straight 100-yard rushing game in Trinity's narrow 19-17 loss at Chapman University over the weekend. McDowell finished with a career-best 30 carries for 123 yards in the game, as well as nabbing 7 receptions for 42 yards for the Tigers.
