DYLAN WILBURN OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior running back from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, September 10th.
Wilburn rushed for 117 yards on 19 carries with a long of 21 yards in Southwestern's come-from-behind 24-17 victory over McMurry. The Houston native also caught a pass for 19 yards in the win.
Wilburn scored 2 touchdowns on the night, the second a go-ahead touchdown with 1:31 left in the game on a 13-yard rush through the right side of the line.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior running back Evan McDowell of Trinity University rushed 20 times for 85 yards (4.3 yards/carry) and scored a touchdown. Sophomore wide receiver Jekovan Holmes of Texas Lutheran University scored all three of Texas Lutheran's touchdowns on pass receptions of 21, 9 and 9 yards.
