COLT COLLINS OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a freshman quarterback from Princeton, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, November 5.
Making his first career start and seeing his first real action of the season, Collins had a huge game to lead Austin College to a 30-28 road victory over Texas Lutheran. He completed 11-of-18 passes for 200 yards with two touchdowns, and added 98 yards on the ground and two more scores.
Late in the third quarter and facing third down while trailing by four, Collins scrambled for 65 yards to pick up the first down, and then scored on the first play of the fourth quarter in a four yard run to give the 'Roos the win.

Senior running back Marquis Barrolle of Texas Lutheran University rushed for a season-high 181 yards on a season-high 41 carries and scored a season-best three rushing touchdowns in the Bulldogs' 30-28 home loss to Austin College. Barrolle averaged 4.4 yards per carry, and also had three receptions for 30 yards, with a long of 21. Barrolle, already the all-time leading rusher at TLU, has 3,776 career rushing yards. He has 892 this season and needs 108 in his final collegiate game to reach the 1,000-yard mark for 2016.
