AUSTIN GRAUER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior quarterback from Claremore, Okla., has been named the SCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, September 3rd.
Grauer led Trinity to a season-opening 34-27 victory over the University of Redlands on Saturday night after a late rally from the bulldogs.
Grauer threw a pair of crucial touchdowns in the first and third quarters to go with 217 passing yards, averaging 8.3 yards per attempt.
Grauer completed 15-26 through the air, the longest 31 yards, finding nine different receivers on the night.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore wide receiver Jekovan Holmes of Texas Lutheran tied his career-high for single-game receptions with 10 catches for 96 yards in the home loss to East Texas Baptist. Senior quarterback Cooper Woodyard of Austin College completed 23-of-34 passes for 271 passing yards to go with 47 yards and a touchdown rushing.
