COLTON HUNTER OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior right-hander from Round Rock, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, March 4 through Sunday, March 10.

Hunter set the tone for a series sweep of Mary Hardin-Baylor, surrendering only one run and six hits in nine innings to give Southwestern the 8-1 victory, bringing his record to 3-0 on the season. Hunter started strong, retiring nine of the first 11 hitters he faced and got stronger as the game went one, striking out the side in the top of the ninth inning to end the night with a career-high 15 strikeouts. His 15 strikeouts are tied for the seventh best in a single-game in SCAC history.
