SCAC Trending Competition Results (Week 16)

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – After a three-week break for the holidays, the #SCACTrending competition kicked off the 2015 year Tuesday, announcing Texas Lutheran University as the winner with 365 points.

This marks the second consecutive win for the Bulldogs and their ninth since the competition began in September 2014. Hashtag usage was measured starting from December 22 through January 12.

Colorado College earned a second place finish, totaling 213 points, followed close behind by Austin College with 201. The University of Dallas dropped to fourth in the latest rankings, marking 187 points.

Schreiner University led the bottom half of the competition, putting up 153 points over the three-week period. Southwestern University came in at sixth place this week, moving up from an eighth place finish last week with 76 points.

In a tie for seventh place is Centenary College and Trinity University, both with 67 points.

The #SCACTrending competition measures the usage of school-specific hashtags to track social media usage by each institution. Each time the hashtag is used on Twitter one point is earned for the team, while each use on Instagram will total two points.
