SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team lost their conference game against #10 Trinity University 100-62 on Saturday. They slip to 7-5 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.
The Crusaders showed that they could play with one of the best teams in the nation for spells throughout the game. Though Trinity surged early to take a 12-point lead, Dallas battled to cut the deficit to seven heading into the second quarter.
The Tigers took control of the game with a massive second quarter, cruising into halftime with a 25-point lead. Things were much tighter in the second half, but Trinity continued to slowly build on their lead to seal a comfortable win.
Maria Dicenta and Sophia Geisler shared the team lead with 13 points apiece, which was a new single-game high for Geisler. Dicenta also snagged 10 rebounds to record the second double-double of her career.
