Box Score Colorado College stayed with CU-Colorado Springs for the first 10 minutes, but the 18th-ranked Mountain Lions took control with a 22-9 run late in the first half and pulled away for a 76-55 victory on Saturday night at the Gallogly Events Center.

Chris Lesnansky connected on six of 11 field-goal attempts for CC and finished with a game-high 17 points.

Luke Winfield added nine points for the Tigers, who slipped to 2-2 on the season.

Field-goal percentage proved to be the difference in the contest. CC made only eight of 25 shots from the floor during the first half while UCCS went 15-for-26.
The Mountain Lions put the game out of reach with a 17-4 run to open the second half.
Derrick White paced CU-Colorado Springs with 12 points, while Alex Welsh added 11.
TreShawn Wilford finished with nine points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Mountain Lions, who improved to 4-0.
Colorado College plays the last of three consecutive games against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponents when the Tigers visit Regis University on Tuesday.
