Texas Lutheran wraps up SCAC regular season with 4-0 road win over Schreiner

KERRVILLE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Soccer ended its 2020-21 regular season with a convincing 4-0 road win Saturday at Schreiner University.
TLU moved its overall record to 3-5-1 and its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference mark to 3-3-1.
Schreiner fell to 0-7 overall and to 0-7 in the SCAC.
Wolfe started the scoring with a shot in the fifth minute. Sanchez gave TLU a 2-0 lead with a shot in the 20th minute.
The Bulldogs added to the lead with Martinez's goal in the 52nd minute and Candelario's penalty kick in the 74th.
TLU out-shot Schreiner 16-4.
The Bulldogs now head to next weekend's SCAC Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinal round. TLU will be the No. 5 seed and will play No. 4 seed Centenary (La.) at Centenary's home field in Shreveport, La. Next weekend's match does not yet have a date or time.
The tournament quarterfinal winners advance to the semifinal and final of the SCAC tournament. Those matches will be played at TLU's Gustafson Field on Friday, April 23 and Sunday, April 25.
