GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Baseball (14-11) returned the favor to the Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders (17-8) on Tuesday Night, this time traveling up to Belton, Texas, to play UMHB in non-conference action. Southwestern found themselves down 0-7 after the bottom of the third inning. However, the Pirates manufactured three runs in the top of the fifth and eighth innings and four runs in the top of the ninth to secure a 10-8 comeback victory over the Crusaders.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Maxwell Mims had three hits on the night and racked up two extra-base hits, including a double and a triple.
- Owen Stevenson hit a three-run shot in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game at 7-7.
- Freshman Cale Cochran gained an RBI for the Pirates, his second of the year.
NOTES
- The Pirates threw eight different pitchers on the night; Braden Anderson recorded his third win on the mound this season and Ryan Corbett secured the save.
- Tres Organ was walked three times against the Crusaders, the most of either team.
- Six different Pirates drove in runs, including James Vaquero, Christian Melillo, and Alexander Cannata.

- Southwestern Baseball will resume conference action this weekend in Shreveport, Louisiana, taking on the Gents of Centenary College. The first game of the series is scheduled for Friday, April 5th, at 6:00 PM.
