Colorado College won both diving events, but the Tiger women's swimming and diving team opened its 2024 California road trip with a 217-81 loss to ninth-ranked Pomona-Pitzer Wednesday afternoon in Claremont, Calif.
Sophomore
Emma Krasemann captured the 3-meter with a score of 235.25, followed by freshman
Keller Pooley with 230.75 points. The duo reversed the finish in the 1-meter, as Pooley won with 254.4 points and Krasemann posted 242.8.
The Tigers had a pir of runner-up results in the swimming races, as sophomore
Alexis Lee placed second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:13.45 and freshman
Isabella Cole in the 200 breaststroke in 2:30.81.
"It was great to get the opportunity to compete against Pomona's top 10 team," head coach
Anne Goodman James said. "That's why we are out here. It is nice to be at sea level, but it was certainly an adjustment swimming and diving outside in chilly weather. We look forward to our next competition with strong SCIAC teams on Saturday."
The Tigers wrap up their road trip on Saturday, Jan. 13, with a double-dual meet against Occidental and Chapman, beginning at 10 am (PT), in Orange, Calif.
