Bulldogs Fall to Comets, 12-0

RICHARDSON, Texas -- UT-Dallas scored three times in the first and rode the early lead to a 12-0 win over Texas Lutheran Saturday afternoon at UTD Baseball Field.

Mason Goudeau (Liberty/Liberty) registered the lone hit for TLU.

The first four Texas-Dallas reached as the Comets opened up an early lead.

Two more runs crossed the plate in the fourth as the deficit grew to 5-0. The Comets added a run in the fifth before exploding for six runs in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 12-0.

TLU had six base runners in the game including loading the bases in the first but they were unable to come away with any runs.

JT Taylor (2-1) took the loss for the Bulldogs allowing six runs on eight hits and four walks in five innings of work. Garrett Nedd (Sealy/Sealy) surrendered three runs in third of an inning and Johnny Garza Jr. (San Antonio/McCollum) gave up three runs on three hits and two walks in the final two thirds of the sixth inning.

Texas Lutheran returns home to Katt-Isbel Field for a 13-game homestand, starting against Vermont State Castleton on Friday, March 1. First pitch is scheduled 6 PM. All games will be streamed on TLU's YouTube Channel, TLU+. All streaming and live stats links can be found on tlubulldogs.com.
