Ohlsen helps Tigers remain perfect In SCAC

Brady Ohlsen made seven of nine shots from the floor and finished with a game-high 16 points as Colorado College remained undefeated in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 68-51 victory at Rhodes College on Friday night.

Nick Rose added 12 points, while Ben Foley had 10 to help the Tigers improve to 10-5 overall and 6-0 in the SCAC. The Lynx dropped to 4-10 overall and 0-6 in the conference.

Colorado College built a pair of eight-point leads midway through the first half, but took control with 17-3 run during the final 7:16. After John Duravant pulled Rhodes to within 20-17 on a three-pointer with 7:16 to play, the Tigers answered with 12 consecutive points.

Nick Rose extended CC's lead to 19 points 3:32 into the second half, but the Lynx kept battling and cut their deficit to nine points when Josh Arant drained a shot from behind the arc with 6:56 to play. That, however, was as close as Rhodes would get.

Ryan Milne set up Ben Foley and Rose on back-to-back possessions, and Colin Madden capped a 7-0 run which put Colorado College ahead 62-46 with just under three minutes to play.

Milne turned in another impressive performance with nine points, seven assists and just one turnover.

Rhodes went 9-for-21 from three-point range and had a 34-32 edge on the boards. Andrew Gallow made three shots from behind the arc and led the Lynx with 10 points.

Colorado College completes a four-game road stretch on Sunday at Birmingham-Southern College.
