Box Score Colorado College saw its 20-point first-half lead nearly evaporate, but made the crucial plays down the stretch to record a 74-63 victory over Trinity University on Friday night at Reid Arena.
CC improved to 7-10 overall and 6-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, and now holds a game and a half lead of Schreiner University atop the league standings.
Trinity pulled to within 44-42 when junior forward Jayden Holden made one of two free throws with 13:33 remaining, but Colorado College capped a 13-3 run with three-pointers from junior forward

Chris Martin before TU made one last surge to cut its deficit to 71-63 with 1:14 to play.
Colorado College clamped down at the defensive end and put the game away by making three of four free throws during the final minute.
Hatch scored 15 of his game-high 23 points during the first half. It was his sixth game with 20 or more points this season.
CC made its first 10 shots from the floor, including six from three-point range, while racing to a 28-8 lead just past the midway point of the first half.
Houska finished with 18 points, while
CooXooEii Black added 15.
Martin scored 10 points and added four rebounds.
Sophomore guard
Edmund Pendleton led Colorado College with a game-high nine rebounds and hit a pair of crucial three-pointers in the second half.
CC tied its season high with 10 three-pointers.
Sophomore forward Aaron Knopp led Trinity with 13 points. Freshman guard Brooks Mays added 11.
Trinity slipped to 7-9 overall and 2-3 in the SCAC.
CC plays host to Schreiner on Sunday at 2 p.m. MT.
