Box Score Colorado College struck for four goals during the first half and cruised to a 5-0 victory over Southwestern University in a semifinal match of the 2014 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers advanced to the SCAC championship game for the first time and will face top-seeded Trinity University on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.

Seth Newby put CC on the board in the 22nd minute, scoring his fourth goal of the season and his second game winner of the year off a feed from sophomore midfielder

Hunter Martinez scored just 39 seconds after coming off the bench, taking a through ball from sophomore midfielder
Tommy Riley to record his second tally of the season.
Colorado College put the game out of reach by scoring twice in less than three minutes as the first half was winding down.

Max Grossenbacher found the net off sophomore defender
Jack McCormick's free kick from midfield in the 37th minute, and freshman forward
Connor Rademacher made the score 4-0 with six minutes to play when he converted off pin-point touches from freshman forward
Sam Markin and Martinez.
Senior defender
Alec Sowers completed the scoring in the 80th minute off passes from Riley and Grossenbacher.
The Tigers turned a significant territorial advantage into a 22-3 difference in total shots. CC also took the only five corner kicks of the contest.
The Colorado College defense did not allow a shot during the final 71 minutes while recording its 11th clean sheet of the season.
Freshman
Theo Hooker, who made his only two saves during the 19th minute, posted his ninth shutout of the year.
CC improved to 15-3-2, its most victories since the 2004 squad posted a 16-4-1 record.
Travis Carmichael did not have a save during his 56:15 in goal for the Pirates, while Sam Eichner stopped four shots in almost 34 minutes of the second half.
Southwestern finished the season with an 8-12-1 record.
