Men's Soccer Nets Four Goals in Win Over Centenary

SEGUIN, TX -- Texas Lutheran Men's Soccer high scoring output continued Friday night as they once again put up multiple goals in a 4-1 home win over Centenary in non-conference action at Gustafson Field.

Senior Luis Green (Monterrey, Mexico/Smithson Valley) led the Bulldogs with 2 goals in the 52nd and 74th minutes in a match full of second half action. Santiago Quinonez (Chihuahua, Mexico/New Braunfels) & Marco Rodriguez (Houston/Jersey Village) added goals in the second half as the Bulldogs closed out the Gents of Centenary College. Three different players scored Friday night for the Bulldogs continuing a season long trend of the Bulldogs spreading the wealth offensively. The Bulldogs have scored 13 goals in their last two matches.

The Bulldogs improve to 4-2. Centenary falls to 3-3-1.

Although the first half was scoreless, the Bulldogs attacked early and often finishing the first half with a 7-3 shot advantage and closing the match with a 21-6 shot advantage.The Bulldogs also held the advantage in corners 7-1.

The Bulldogs were once again tenacious defensively only allowing one shot on-goal Friday night - a late Gents in the 86th minute.
