In an electrifying Men's soccer match on September 1, 2023, the St. Thomas Celt secured their first victory of the season and their first against a regional opponent, defeating Pomona-Pitzer with a commanding score of 3-0.

The Celt's offensive prowess was on full display, with Taty Aleman being the star of the game, netting two crucial goals. Aleman opened the scoring in the 1st half with an unassisted penalty kick at the 3:26 mark, giving St. Thomas a 1-0 lead.

The second half saw St. Thomas continue their dominance. Aleman struck again at 61:47, this time with assistance from Leonardo Mansur Scarparo and Daniel Espinosa, increasing their lead to 2-0. Tony Castro sealed the victory with a goal at 71:07, assisted by Italo Rodriguez, making it 3-0.

Cristo Gayoso, the Celt's goalkeeper, was a stalwart in defense, making four crucial saves to maintain the clean sheet. Pomona-Pitzer's Ethan Bae, despite a valiant effort, conceded three goals and made three saves.
