Women's Soccer was unable to capture their first victory of the year, falling to McMurry, 4-0.
A slow start would plague the Celts in the first half as they would only put up two shots on goal. Defensively, St. Thomas would weather a barrage of shots from McMurry until the 31st minute, when the War Hawks would capitalize on one of their seven tries.
Opening the second half, trailing by one, the Celts needed to spark their offense. Unfortunately, the War Hawk defense would stifle all offensive moves made by UST. McMurry would again hold the Celts scoreless in this half, while chipping in three goals of their own.
Women's Soccer will return home next Friday for their non-conference match with Centenary College at Houston Sports Park.
