The Colorado College men's basketball team dropped a 79-47 decision at Division II Metropolitan State University of Denver on Tuesday night in the Tigers' final non-conference game of the season.
Freshman guard and Denver native
DeAnte' Dennis finished with 10 points for CC, reaching double figures for the second game in a row.
The Tigers also received 10 points from sophomore guard
Scott Cunningham, who added four rebounds.
The Roadrunners, who used their pressure defense to cause 27 turnovers, raced to a 23-5 lead in a little more than 10 minutes and led by 34 points at halftime.
Colorado College outscored MSU, 32-30, in the second half.
The Tigers played most of the game without its two leading scorers, senior forward
CooXooEii Black and senior guard
Eric Jonas, due to foul trouble.
Jonas picked up three fouls during the opening six minutes and finished with seven points in 15 minutes of action.
Black finished with five rebounds and four points in 19 minutes.

Jackson Tanner grabbed five rebounds for the Tigers.
Charlie Rounaghi dished out three assists.

Christian Wilson-Poole scored a game-high 16 points.
Cain Van Heyningen finished nine rebounds.
Garrett Carter had four assists.

Colorado College is idle until Saturday, Dec. 14, when the Tigers play host Southwestern University in their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener at Reid Arena.
