IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team lost their conference matchup with Colorado College 78-62 Friday evening. They fall to 5-12 on the year and 2-7 in conference play.
The game started off even enough, with the Crusaders playing some tough defense to take a 14-13 lead into the second quarter. But the Tigers took on their first possession of the quarter and never looked back, hitting a 12-2 run to lead 25-16 five minutes into the period. The Crusaders went ice cold from the floor in the second and third quarters, and by the time the fourth quarter came around they found themselves trailing by 20.
Dallas was able to close the gap some in the fourth, outscoring the Tigers 25-21 in the final period, but it wasn't enough. The Tigers closed out a comfortable 78-62 win.
Camille Fowler came off the bench and ended up playing more minutes than three of the Crusaders starters, leading the team with 12 points and four assists in 25 minutes played. Adryan Alvarez was right behind, providing 11 points off the bench.
