CONWAY, Ark. – It was another busy day in the pool for McMurry University Swimming Saturday, as the War Hawks were in their second of back-to-back days of competition at the 52^nd Annual Hendrix Classic.

Early in the program, senior Jessica Gryder picked up one of her better finishes of the day, taking 11^th in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.69 seconds. She narrowly missed the top ten by two tenths of a second. Gryder also participated in the 100-yard freestyle and 400-yard freestyle relay.

In the men's 50-yard freestyle, freshman Terrin Boehmer was the top War Hawk with a time of 23.26 seconds to place 13^th.

The freestyle continued to be McM's strongest event, as sophomore Alec Satre posted a 10^th place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in a field of 26. Satre finished in a time of 51.89 seconds.

In the women's 200-yard backstroke, freshman Madelaine Smith finished 13^th in 2:30.94. Joshua Calderon claimed a 10^th place showing in the same event for the McM men, touching the wall in 2:17.98.

Back to the freestyle, freshman Molly Herrera earned an 8^th place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 5:52.35.

Boehmer placed seventh in the men's 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:13.60, while senior Dany Baki was 12^th in 5:32.29.

The final events of the day, the 400-yard freestyle relays, saw the group of Gryder, Abigail Swaim, Herrera and Smith place fourth in 4:13.58. The McM men placed ninth in their relay.

Both the men and women placed sixth overall, with the women scoring 113 points and the men 101 points.

A busy November for the War Hawks continues November 15, as McM makes the return trip to Austin College for a dual.
