The Rhodes College Baseball team split Sunday's double header with Huntingdon College, winning the first game 6-3, before dropping the second game 5-4.  Sophomore Tony Pikos picked up the win in the first game and senior Hunter Chandler picked up the loss in the second game after entering the game in the 8th. 

In the first game, Pikos worked 5 innings, allowed 3 hits, 3 unearned runs, walked 4, and struck out 9.  Pikos is now 1-0 on the year.  Chandler worked the final two innings of the seven inning game en route to his 1st save of the year.  On the Chandler allowed 2 hits, no runs, no walks, and struck out 3.

Senior 1B Brent Lindsey paced the Lynx offense in the first game going 2-2 with a double, 2 runs scored, drove in 1, and got hit by a pitch.  Senior C Chris Conkell went 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI.  Freshman LF Walker McWherter went 1-3 with 2 RBIs.

In the second game, junior Austin Carden made his second start of the season, working 6 innings, allowed 7 hits, no runs, 1 walk, and struck out 7.  Senior Andy Meier worked 1+ innings allowing 5 hits, 4 earned runs, walked 1, and struck out 1.  Senior Hunter Chandler relieved Meier in the 8th and allowed 2 hits, 1 earned run, and struck out 2.  Senior Taylor Babich worked the final frame for the Lynx and did not allow a runner to reach base, while striking out 2.

Senior RF Matt Gilbert led the Lynx offense in game two going 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs.  Sophomore 3B Lynden Pindling was 2-4 at the plate.  Senior SS Kyle Peterson was 2-3 with a run scored.  Freshman 2B Stewart Martens was 2-4 with a double, run scored, and 2 RBIs.

Rhodes will return to action this weekend with a single game on Saturday and Sunday at home against #15 Mississippi College.
