Box Score Colorado College extended its winning streak to seven games with a 88-75 victory over Johnson & Wales University in the final non-conference game of the regular season.
Now the Tigers can turn their attention to Friday's showdown with No. 23 Texas Lutheran University and the battle for first place in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
CC improved to 11-6 overall and its seven consecutive victories are the most for the program since the Tigers reeled off nine in a row during the 1991-92 campaign.
Colorado College had its hands full with the Wildcats early in the contest, but three consecutive three-pointers midway through the first half gave the Tigers a nine-point lead and JWU never recovered.

Luke Winfield dialed long distance twice in a span of 33 seconds, and then freshman guard
Reed Nakakihara connected from behind the arc to give CC a 24-15 cushion. Â Â
Freshman guard Andrew Romero trimmed the Johnson & Wales deficit to six, but Nakakihara struck from long range for the second time 47 seconds later.
After the Wildcats pulled to within 28-22 on a jumper from freshman forward Aaron Stone, a three-ball from senior guard
Justin Berardino ignited a 19-10 surge that gave Colorado College a 47-32 lead after 20 minutes.
The Tigers connected on 10 of their 22 three-point attempts and reached double-digits from behind the arc for the fifth time this season.

Eric Houska led CC with 12 points in 20 minutes, while senior forward
James Lonergan finished with 10 points and six rebounds.
Sophomore forward
Chris Martin led Colorado College with a career-high 12 rebounds.
The Tigers were up by as many as 32 points during the second half, but Johnson & Wales was able to cut its deficit to 83-75 after CC began substituting with a little more than seven minutes to play.
Stone finished with game highs of 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Wildcats, who slipped to 10-12.
Colorado College, which defeated JWU 81-58 earlier this season in Denver, now has won 11 in a row against the Wildcats and holds a 15-5 lead in the all-time series that began on Feb. 12, 2003.
