The Rhodes College Baseball team dropped their season opener 6-3 to Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL on Sunday afternoon.  Huntingdon jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first inning and never let go of the lead.  The Lynx cut the lead to 5-2 after the fourth, then to 6-3 after the sixth.  Neither team would score in the final three frames.

Sophomore Austin Carden started for the Lynx, working 3 innings, allowing 4 hits, 5 runs, 2 earned runs, walked 3, and struck out 3.  Freshman Jackson Baker threw the final five innings, allowing 3 hits, one earned run, and struck out five.  Junior catcher went 2-3 with an RBI.  Junior 3B Brogan Jayne went 2-4 with a RBI.  Freshman OF Johnny Brill went 1-2 with a double, 2 walks, and scored a run.
