Men's Soccer Drains TLU for First Win

Men's Soccer was able to pick up their first conference win today as they battled TLU down to the wire. The Celts showed a controlling performance offensively and defensively throughout the game resulting in a 1-0 victory.

UST dominated the defensive line and held the bulldogs to only two shots the entire game with zero shots on goal. On the attack, the Celts pressed the bulldogs in the first half, unleashing four shots during the period. However, TLU was able to escape with the no goals scored heading into the break.

The second half mirrored that of the first except UST was able to land more shots on goal in the final period. Leading the Celts offense was Hanif Mohammad who managed to have three looks at goal, yet all were just off the mark. Off the bench, Kelvin Cardona was able to leave his mark on the contest with the go-ahead goal in the 62nd minute to put the Celts up one. The UST defense would continue to prevail to clinch their first victory of the season.

Men's Soccer will hit the pitch again next Sunday for their home opener against UDallas.
