Eric Houska scored a season-high 25 points to lead Colorado College to a crucial 58-54 victory at Texas Lutheran University on Saturday night at Memorial Gymnasium.
Houska's three-pointer with 48 seconds to go gave the Tigers a 54-48 lead and then he sank a free throw with seven seconds to play which put CC ahead 57-54.
TLU's Nathan Joseph's missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with two seconds remaining and senior forward
Chris Martin sealed the victory when he hit one of two at the line after he was fouled while grabbing the rebound.
Colorado College earned a split in the season series with the Bulldogs and climbed past TLU into sixth place in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference standings with a 4-5 league record. The Tigers also improved to 9-11 overall.

Bobby Roth hit three of four free throws to put the Tigers ahead to stay. After the Bulldogs missed a pair of long-range shots, Houska hit the dagger to put CC up by six.
Texas Lutheran slipped to 7-12 overall and 3-5 in the SCAC.
Josephs led the Bulldogs with 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Kouremetis added 13 points for TLU, while freshman guard Sebastian Andrade finished with 11.
Colorado College's run of four consecutive road contests concludes next week with conference games at Austin College and Centenary College on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
