CLERMONT, Fla. - A late rally in game one fell short but got the Pirates going to win game two and leave Florida with a 3-1 record on the weekend.
GAME 1: SU 6; St. Mary's (MN) 8
Southwestern found themselves facing a run-rule loss after trailing 8-0 heading into the fifth inning. SU got the one run they needed to extend the game and then rattled off five in the sixth to cloe the gap. That is as close as the Pirates would get, however, as they dropped the first game of the day 8-6.
GAME 2: SU 5, Franklin 2
A four-run third was all the Pirates need as they were sharp defensively to defeat Franklin 5-2 in the final game of the trip.
