The Colorado College men's tennis team saw its three-match winning streak snapped Monday night with an 8-1 loss to Wisconsin-La Crosse in Orlando, Fla.
The Tigers, now 6-5 this season, dropped all three doubles matches to the Eagles. The best match of the contest was at the No. 2 spot where senior
Taylor Delehanty and sophomore
Brian Chen lost 9-7 to
Matt Lindsay and Joey Schneider. In singles play, freshman
Daniel Holland posted CC's lone win, taking the No. 2 match, 6-3, 6-2m against Austin Stefanich. Sophomore
Ben Bacher played a tough three-setter before falling to Schneider, 6-1, 1-6, 1-0(10).
"Daniel played one of his best matches of the year today," head coach
Anthony Weber said. "He dictated points off the ground and finished with confidence. Ben also did a great job mixing his point construction to keep his opponent off balance, he just fell a bit short."
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, March 15 against Macalester College beginning at 5:30 p.m. (ET).
