#RV Bulldogs Lead Centenary 3-1 in Halted Conference Game

SHREVEPORT, LA -- After winning the first of their two Opening Day games against Centenary, 7-4, Texas Lutheran was leading the back end of the doubleheader with the Gents 3-1 in the top of the 8th inning before it was halted due to lightning following a leadoff double from Kash Durkin (Liberty Hill/Liberty Hill).

The game is currently suspended with return to play to be determined. Due to weather in the area, there is a potential of the series being pushed to Sunday and alternative fields are also being discussed. Stay tuned to official TLU athletics social media outlets as well as tlubulldogs.com as updates will be provided as more information becomes available. The two teams traded zeros through the first five innings until a two-RBI single from Adam Peavy (Houston/Memorial) drove in Mason Goudeau (Liberty/Liberty) and Cooper Jen (Kyle/Hays) in the sixth. The Gents cut the Bulldogs lead in half in the bottom of the inning. TLU crossed another run on a Gents error in the 7th, returning their lead to two runs entering the eighth inning.

Nolan McInvale (Poth/Poth) has allowed one run on three hits through seven innings while striking out five.
