Softball opened up its three-game series with Austin College taking down the 'roos 9-0. The Celts were clicking in the circle limiting the opponent to a two-hit performance.

From their first at-bat, the Celts took control of the game. Adelyn Beccera got the Celts on the board first with a double that scored Jaelyn Simmons in the bottom of the first. Then Chloe Bennett got on the board with a fielders choice to make the lead 2-0. From there, the Celts only added to their lead in the following inning as two passed balls scored two runs. When the dust settled, the score was already 5-0 heading into the third. Then in the fourth inning, St. Thomas only added to their lead with four Celts driving in a run to make the score 9-0. Then down to their last three outs, Austin College could not generate a run to force another inning.

In the circle, Bailey Tisdale got the start and shined blanking Austin College with just one hit and no walks for her eighth win of the year. Addison Lehew came in to close the game and in the fifth inning allowed just one hit to secure the 9-0 victory.
