
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Softball was able to finish off their series against the #15 ranked Texas Lutheran Bulldogs on Monday night, following reschedules due to weather. Southwestern played two and a half games after the first contest was suspended on Sunday. The Pirates were beaten by a 0-10 margin in game one but came back to knock off the Bulldogs in walk-off fashion in game two, taking a 9-8 victory. The series was finalized by a 7-0 win in favor of TLU, a game where the first pitch took place at 9:00 PM CST.
GAME 1
- Southwestern recorded four hits against the Bulldogs, a combination of Erica Otto, Samantha Saenz, Ashtyn Aldrete, and Meghan McCarthy.
GAME 2
- Alexandria Wiley hit a shot in right field to bring in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh for the Pirates win.
- McCarthy led the Pirates in hitting with three on the night and two RBIs.
- Hailey Briscoe and Victoria Jackson-Sears both had two RBIs and two hits to help the offense.
- Jodi Glenn-Millhouse scored three of the Pirate's nine runs.
- Six Pirates recorded RBIs, scoring multiple runs in five innings.
GAME 3
- Glenn-Millhouse collected the Pirates only hit in game three.
- Sophia Ytuarte pitched three innings, throwing four strikeouts with fifteen batters faced.
