
Ladies Fall To 'Roos In Heartbreaker, 63-61
The Centenary women's basketball team fell in a heartbreaker by a score of 63-61 to the Austin College 'Roos on Friday evening in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest inside Hughey Gym.
Sherman, Texas - The Centenary women's basketball team fell in a heartbreaker by a score of 63-61 to the Austin College 'Roos on Friday evening in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest inside Hughey Gym.
The Ladies (2-21, 1-14 SCAC) led the 'Roos (8-15, 4-11 SCAC) for the majority of the game but a pair of free throws by Avory Miller with just two seconds remaining in the game broke a 61-61 tie and made it 63-61. Centenary inbounded the ball and got to midcourt and then play was stopped as it the officiating crew realized that the clock did not start. The officials went to the replay monitor and determined that time had run out to the dismay of the Ladies.

Centenary closes out the weekend and its season on Saturday against the University of Dallas Crusaders in Irving, Texas at 4 p.m.
