Aria Dudley combined for a .654 hitting percentage and 26 kills to lead No. 9 Colorado College to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-17 victory over Hardin-Simmons University on Saturday afternoon at Reid Arena.
Spaethling, a first-year middle hitter, hit .667 with 11 kills, while Dudley, s sophomore right-side hitter, posted seven kills on 11 attacks without an error.
As a team, the Tigers hit .289 while holding HSU to .029.

The key to Colorado College's success was its ability to make plays in the clutch, outscoring the Cowgirls 19-5 late in the first and third sets.
Looking to bounce back from yesterday's three-set loss to Colorado College, HSU led 16-15 midway through the first set after they scored five straight points. However, the Tigers used a 10-2 run to take the set.
Late in the third set, Hardin-Simmons pulled to within 16-15 after an ace from senior libero Lauren Wish capped a string of five consecutive points. But after calling a timeout, the Tigers went on a 9-3 run and closed out the set and match.
Colorado College converted on 60 percent of its side-out opportunities, compared to just 40 percent for the Cowgirls.
Junior middle hitter Grace Shulz led the Cowgirls with seven kills and four block assists, while Wish recorded a team-high 12 digs.
CC plays host to Susquehanna University on Sunday at 11 a.m.
