Sparked to an individual title by junior
Jio Chang on Sunday, the Colorado College women's swimming and diving team finished in third place at the Trinity Tiger Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
The Tigers ended the meet with 424 points, behind Trinity with 802 points and Henderson State with 646.
Chang posted CC's lone victory of the meet in the 200 butterfly, winning the race with a time of 2:11.86, more than one second faster than the second-place finisher, Ashley Harmon of Southwestern University.
Freshman
Key Macfarland wrapped up her impressive weekend with a third-place result in the 1,650 freestyle race, while fellow freshman
Maddie Amick was sixth.
Sophomores
Emileigh Rafidi and
Emily Erickson finished 11
th and 12
th, respectively, in the 200 breaststroke, while freshman
Ana Mashek won the "C" final in the 200 backstroke.
The CC divers were solid in the 1-meter event on Sunday as junior
Riley Wadehra was third and sophomores
Jennifer Middleton and
Lani Flagg fourth and fifth, respectively.
The men's team finished in sixth place with 215 points. Sophomore
Casey Block placed third in the 3-meter diving competition on Sunday, while freshman
Keelan Woodard was fifth.

Cade Thumann turned in a 10
th-place performance in the 200 butterfly, while junior
Michael Heinonen finished 14
th in the 1,650 freestyle and freshman
Cole Thumann 15
th in the 200 breaststroke.

Reese Gawronski finished seventh with a time of 1:38.37.
"This meet was an outstanding opportunity for us to compete at the facility that will be hosting this year's SCAC Championships in February," head coach
Anne Goodman James said. "There was outstanding competition with several of the top schools in our conference, as well as some very good Division II and NAIA teams. It was exciting to see the time drops after just a two-day rest and our freshmen really stepped up all weekend."
The Tigers host St. Norbert College on Monday, Dec. 17 at Schlessman Natatorium, beginning at 5 p.m.
