Box Score Colorado College cut a 16-point deficit to four with 4:29 to play, but Central College made 9 of 11 free throws during the final four minutes and pulled away for a 73-58 victory in the second game of the 2015 Pikes Peak Holiday Invitational on Monday afternoon at Reid Arena.
CC scored the final four points of the third quarter and then opened the final frame with an 11-3 run to pull to within 54-50 on a layup by senior guard
Katie Wirth with 4:29 remaining. The Tigers, however, were unable to score again until freshman guard Casey Torbert knocked down a short jumper from the left side of the lane with 2:40 to play.
Freshman guard Claire Marburger led the Dutch with game highs of 25 points, 11 rebounds and six steals. Sophomore Jackie Kriegel added 14 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

Korbyn Ukasick scored 14 points, while junior guard

After falling behind by nine points 5:16 into the game, the Tigers used a 9-3 run to claw their way back to within 19-16 after 10 minutes.
CC trailed 28-16 after Central's Nicole Silver hit a jumper with 4:29 to play in the first half, but back-to-back treys by sophomore guard
Francesca Cendali and Ukasick cut the deficit in half with 2:25 to play before the break.
Colorado College was unable to connect from behind the arc during its next two possessions and the Dutch used baskets by Kriegel and Jessica Helton to build a 32-22 lead at the half.
Central advanced to Tuesday's championship game and a showdown with the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, which defeated Hamline University, 72-61, in the first game of the tournament.
Junior center MaKenzie Miller led the Eagles with 18 points and eight rebounds, while junior forward Rachel Atchison added 11 points.
Junior guard Tia Doggins scored 13 points to lead the Pipers.
