DENISON, Tex. - Men's tennis took an early lead in doubles over the McMurry Warhawks and never looked back.
The win earned the Kangaroos their third win in a row as they look to be picking up speed late in the season. Taking the doubles advantage 2-1, Austin College claimed Line 2-6 singles, with Senior co-Captain Josh Granberry forcing his Line 1 opponent into a tiebreaker in the second set.
Junior Siddharth Kortikere lost a quick 2-6 first set, but dominated the second set 6-1 and the super-tiebreaker for the third set, 10-7. Brett O'Brien battled hard through the first set, but wore out his opponent in the second set, claiming it 6-0.
Austin College returns to competition on Saturday, March 23rd as they host the #17 Trinity Tigers in SMU's Indoor Tennis Facility in Dallas, TX at 2:35pm.
