Baseball Falls to Trinity in Series Opener

Baseball Falls to Trinity in Series Opener

The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the second inning when Trinity's offense exploded. Jack Baker ignited the scoring with a single, driving in Kai Tinker and Ty Preston. Shortly after, Jack Peterson blasted a two-run homer to right field, extending Trinity's lead to 4-0.

Despite St. Thomas' efforts on the mound, with Landon Murray starting and pitching six innings, Trinity's hitters found success.

Trinity's offense continued to apply pressure in the eighth inning, capitalizing on a fielding error by St. Thomas. Jack Baker reached first base, driving in Colt Harris, and Nicholas Lazzara drew a walk, allowing Maddox McDonald to score, extending Trinity's lead to 6-0.

Despite St. Thomas' efforts, they were unable to generate any offense against Trinity's dominant pitching staff, resulting in a shutout victory for Trinity.

With this loss, St. Thomas looks to regroup and bounce back in tomorrow's game two.
