Box Score Trinity University scored the final eight points of the first half and maintained control during the final 30 minutes, spoiling
Jeff Conarroe's debut as head coach at coach Colorado College with an 82-63 victory on Friday night.
Junior forward
Will Nisbet led CC with a career-high 15 points, connecting on seven of nine shots from the floor, including one from behind the arc. He also had a team-high five rebounds.
Junior guard
Jack McRoskey added 13 points for Colorado College.
CC was within striking distance down just 32-28 after
Aaron Acosta sank a free throw with 1:43 to play before halftime, but TU scored eight in a row, including a layup by Tanner Brown at the buzzer, to head to the locker room with the momentum.
Trinity extended its lead to 51-32 a little less than five minutes into the second half, but Colorado College utilized four points from freshman guard
Alex Russo and a three pointer from junior forward
Sam Kinney to trim its deficit back to where it was after 20 minutes. Russo finished with seven points in 13 minutes in his collegiate debut.
The same scenario repeated itself throughout the final 14 minutes with TU stretching its lead, then CC battling back to within 12 points before Trinity padded its final margin with a 7-2 run in the final two minutes.

Scott Cunningham dished out four assists and scored four points.
Aaron Acosta grabbed five rebounds and added three points.
Trinity Standouts
Tanner Brown led Trinity with a game-high 20 points.
Ben Hanley, Kaleb Jenkins and Enzo Sechi added 13 points apiece.
A.J. Clark had a game-high five assists.
