SHREVEPORT, La. - The University of Dallas women's soccer team lost their conference matchup with Cenentary College 1-0 on Sunday. They fall to 4-6-2 on the year and 3-3-2 in conference.
The match had only just gotten started when the Crusaders found themselves trailing. Off a throw in, Centenary's Gabby McDonald slammed the ball off the inside of the far post from outside the box to put the Ladies up 1-0 after one minute of play. Bridgette Alpar responded for Dallas with an long-range effort of her own, but her shot sailed wide of the net.
Dallas had a coup0le of good chances to equalize in the final 10 minutes. Claire Reed fizzed one just outside the post from 25 yards out, and Heather Reyna just managed to get a half chance off on a bouncing ball in the box, but her shot was saved by the keeper. It would be the last chance on goal for either team.
