The University of St. Thomas Women's Soccer team dropped a hard-fought game to Centenary College. After a powerful first half from the Ladies, the Celts had no answer and would fall 3-0.
The Celts first big opportunity came at the 20th minute when Aeriana Lewis fired a shot off the post from just outside the penalty box. After threatening the Ladies early, Centenary was able to control the rest of the half. They pressured the Celts defense putting five shots on goal which resulted in two first half goals.
UST fought back hard in the second half holding Centenary scoreless until the 85th minute. Ultimately, the ladies defense was too much only allowing 5 shots on goal for the entire game.
The Celts return to action next Saturday when they take on the Mountaineers Schreiner University.
