Box Score Max Grossenbacher struck with 4:24 remaining in regulation to give Colorado College a 1-0 victory at Texas Lutheran University on a sultry Sunday afternoon in southern Texas.

The first-place Tigers improved to 6-1-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Grossenbacher lifted a shot over goalkeeper Jonathan Michael from 15 yards out after taking a touch from junior defender Nathan Andersen.

It was the second game-winning goal of the week for Colorado College's senior midfielder as well as the sixth of his career.

Grossenbacher leads the Tigers with five goals and 11 points.

Sophomore goalkeeper Theo Hooker stopped the only shot he faced while posting his second clean sheet of the season and the 11th of his career.

He did get some help from his defense, which saved a shot by Miguel Candelario after the ball came free in the box after a TLU corner kick in the 27th minute.

CC compiled a 17-7 advantage in total shots and a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

The Bulldogs, who managed only one shot in the second half, slipped to 6-2-0 overall and 3-2-0 in league play.

Colorado College puts its five-game winning streak on the line against Austin College on Friday, Oct. 2, on Washburn Field.
