Memphis, Tennessee ~ Rhodes capped off the SCAC weekend beating Hendrix 93-80 raising their overall record to 8-9 and 3-6 in the conference.  Today's game was the opposite of Friday's matchup, with the Lynx putting up big offensive numbers, scoring a season high 93 points.  The Lynx shot a red hot 70% from the field in the second half.

The game started with Hendrix making one of two free throws to open the scoring.  A layup by senior Larry Cunningham, JR. (St. Charles, MO) got the Lynx on the board.  After a defensive stop, senior Reid Hamilton (Birmingham, AL) made a free throw to give the Lynx a slim 3-1 advantage.  A Warrior three pointer made the score 4-3 before the Lynx 11 straight points, giving them a nine point lead at the 13:32 mark of the first half.  Two free throws by Nathan Ollie (Memphis, TN) gave the Lynx an 11 point lead.  With three Lynx starters on the bench with foul trouble, the Warriors would battle back cutting the Lynx lead to just two points with 9:41 remaining.  After a Rhodes timeout, Ollie canned a three pointer to push the lead back to five.  Hendrix would take the lead a few possessions later at 25-24 and eventually take a four point lead before Josh Arant (Charlotte, NC) connected on two free throws to make the score 28-26 Hendrix at the 6:33 mark.  Hendrix scored next, but Rhodes responded with Andyshea Saberioon's (Houston, TX) jumper.  On the play, freshman Theo Hartwell (Charleston, SC) was fouled and connected on a free throw to cut the Warrior lead to one.  Each team battled the rest of the half with neither team gaining complete control.  Rhodes built a four point lead of a jumper by Andrew Sillyman (Cordova, TN) but Hendrix scored four straight to tie the game and at halftime the score was 44 apiece.

Rhodes opened the second half with an Ollie three pointer, and after Hendrix hit a three pointer of their own, Ollie drove the lane and scored a layup giving the Lynx a two point lead that they would never relinquish.   Andrew Galow (Oswego, IL)connected on a three pointer to push the Lynx lead to five.  A jumper by Hamilton gave the Lynx a seven point lead with 16 minutes remaining.  After the Warriors cut the lead to four points, Hamilton scored four straight to push the lead back to eight.  Each team would trade baskets until Sillyman connected on a three pointer to give the Lynx a nine point lead with just under 10 minutes left to play.  Hendrix scored the next five to pull with four points, before Hamilton scored again and a layup by Galow pushed the lead back to nine points.  A layup by Ollie pushed the Lynx lead to 11 and on the next possession Hamilton scored in the paint to give the Lynx an 84-71 lead with six minutes left in the game.  At the two minute mark, Kory Kilpatrick (Athens, GA) scored a layup to give the Lynx a 15 point lead and the Lynx finished out the game, capturing a 93-80 victory.

Rhodes placed three players in double figures.  Nate Ollie led all scorers with 29 points, including 17 in the second half.  Hamilton scored 26 including 16 in the second half.  Galow scored 12 to finish off the double digit scorers for the Lynx.  Rhodes won the rebounding matchup 35-28, with Kilpatrick leading everyone with 11 rebounds.  Hamilton and Sillyman grabbed seven and five, respectively.  Saberioon dished out a game high eight assists.
