Box Score Fueled by a 30-6 advantage in bench scoring, Colorado College pulled away from Johnson & Wales University during the final 12 minutes to record an 88-74 victory on Tuesday night at the Wildcat Center.
After sophomore forward Michael Mitchell gave JWU a 57-56 lead with 12:15 to play, Colorado College scored eight in row to build a 64-57 advantage when senior forward
Russell Clark knocked down a jumper with 9:06 remaining.
Senior Preston Rayburn pulled the Wildcats to within three when he completed a three-point play with 6:38 to go, but the Tigers answered with a 10-3 run to build a 10-point lead with 3:57 on the clock.
Rayburn trimmed Colorado College's lead to 77-71 with 3:09 to play, however the Tigers made four of five shots from the floor and five of six free throws during the final 2:55 to seal the victory.

Chris Lesnansky led CC with 18 points and seven rebounds. Junior swing man
Luke Winfield added 16 points and eight boards, while freshman forward
John Hatch came off the bench to record a season-high 12 points.
Rayburn was a force for the Wildcats, posting a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds. He scored 17 in the first half to keep his team within striking distance.
Junior guard Damon Bates finished with 16 points, while Mitchell added 15.
The Tigers dominated on the glass, finishing with a 48-33 advantage in rebounds.
Johnson & Wales made up for that difference by making eight of 26 shots from behind the arc.
CC swept the season series with the Wildcats for the fourth year in a row and extended its winning streak against the Wildcats to nine games.
Colorado College, which improved to 9-8 overall with its third consecutive victory, returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday at Schreiner University.
