Izzy Hensley came off the bench to score a season-high 13 points, including a key three-pointer with 1:26 remaining, to help Colorado College post a 69-63 victory at Schreiner University on Friday night.
After the Mountaineers trimmed CC's eight-point lead to 62-59 with 1:44 to play, Hensley connected from behind the arc just 18 seconds later and Schreiner never got closer than five points the rest of the game.
McKenzee Gertz posted her sixth double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds. It also marked the eighth time this year she has finished with 20 or more points in a game. The junior winger also tied her career high with six steals.
Gertz knocked down a pair of clutch shots midway through the fourth quarter, each of which answered a three-pointer be the Mountaineers' Zahra Cross.
Cross went 4-for-9 from long distance and finished with a game-high 23 points.
Rosie Braley scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Tigers. Her layup with 6:07 remaining capped an 8-0 run that came after Schreiner took 47-46 lead, its only lead of the second half.
Colorado College led 31-16 when Gertz canned a jumper midway through the second quarter, but the Mountaineers utilized a 10-4 surge to cut their deficit to 35-26 at halftime.

Abby Walz scored four points apiece during an 11-2 surge that gave the Tigers a 15-11 lead. Â Â
